Update Your Printer Driver

Clear & Reset the Print Spooler 

Your printer won’t print all pages or won’t print your selected pages? You may have to clear and reset the print spooler. It is an executable file that manages the printing process, so a problem within it can easily cause printing and communication issues. 

Here’s how to clear and reset the print spooler on your Windows computer:

1. Type “services” in the search box on the taskbar, then select Services in the results list.
2. Click on the Standards tab. Next, hit Print Spooler in the list of services.
3. Choose Stop, and then hit OK.
4. Return to the search box on the taskbar and type this phrase: %WINDIR%\system32\spool\printers. Then, pick %WINDIR%\system32\spool\PRINTERS in the results list. Next, delete all files in the folder.
5. Hit the search box again on the taskbar, type “services,” and then click on Services in the results list.
6. Choose the Standards tab, then find Print Spooler in the list and double-click it.
7. Click on Start, select Automatic in the Startup Type box, and then select OK.

If you’re a Mac user, resetting your print spooler means deleting all printers from your list, clearing information about completed print jobs, and removing all printer presets. 

Here’s how to do it:

1. On your Mac, click the Apple menu   > and pick System Settings. After that, click Printers & Scanners in the sidebar (you may need to scroll down).

2. Control-click the printer in the list on the right and select Reset Printing System.
Note: If no printers show up in the list, you can Control-click the empty space and hit Reset Printing System.

3. After resetting the printing system, the list of printers in the Printers & Scanners settings will be empty. You can now add your printers again.

If your printer still won’t print all pages, try the next fix.

Repair Corrupted System Services 

If system files necessary for printing are corrupted, your printer may malfunction and skip printing pages. To address this, consider using the System File Checker tool (Windows users) tool to repair any missing or corrupted system files. Alternatively, you can use Fortect or any other PC repair tool to diagnose & fix these files. Simply download and install the tool. Then, run a system scan and follow the prompts to repair issues it detects.
